Why we love Instagram for Business and how to get started!


You may have heard that Instagram is fast becoming the number one marketing tool for brands. But for those of you who have not yet set up an Instagram account, perhaps because you find the setup process overwhelming? Or maybe you’re unsure what to post about? Or, perhaps you’re not quite convinced it will be beneficial?! Whatever your reason might be, we have put together not only our top reasons on why we love Instagram for business, but we have also included a quick follow along video tutorial on how to set up your account and switch it to a business profile, for those that are keen to get started.

So firstly, we want to share why we believe Instagram is one of the most cost-effective and simplest ways to build your audience and connect with your customer.

Of course, you will need to do a little research first and make sure your customer is on Instagram. However, unless your demographic falls in the baby boomer generation, we can almost guarantee they are actively using the app.

So whether you’re an early stage entrepreneur or have been in the game a little longer, there are a number of reasons why having your Instagram set up for business is beneficial, including…

  1. As they say, marketing is no longer about the stuff you sell, it’s about the stories you tell. And Instagram is the perfect platform to bring in those behind the scenes shots, meet-the-team bios and informational tips in order to share your brand story. 
  2. Instagram for business also allows you to get real-time access to valuable statistics and insights into who your audience is, where they’re from, and when they’re most active on Instagram during the day and week. This helps you to make sure that your content is reaching the audience you want to reach, and you can then make better decisions about when to post so that you get as much engagement as possible.
  3. You can use your content to help drive traffic from your Instagram to your website, blog, or online store. The app will even show you how many people are clicking through to your website.
  4. You can grow your business’s reach even further with promoted posts, or through Instagram ads straight from the app.

Oh, and did we mention you can add a call to action in your profile, and make it super easy for the customer to get in touch with you and see what you’re about?
